BTech student dies in IIITDM hostel.
In Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a student suffering from ragging once again committed suicide. The suspected death of BTech first year student Utkarsh Tiwari at the hostel on Triple ITDM Dumna Road has raised many questions. Family members allege that the death of his son is not a result of any accident or suicide, but ragging and then murdered. At the same time, the police is now investigating this entire case with both murder and ragging.
In fact, around 12 noon on Tuesday afternoon, Utkarsh fell down from the fourth floor of Panini Hostel. Fellow students immediately rushed him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. 19 -year -old Utkarsh Tiwari was a resident of Barpur Balwarganj in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He enrolled in IIITDM just a month ago and was living on the fourth floor of Panini Hostel.
Utkarsh was under stress about education loan!
Different theory of police and family has made the case more complicated. Institute management says that Utkarsh was under stress about education loan and that is why it probably took this step. Institute director B.K. Singh claimed that the student had also interacted with his uncle on the subject before the incident, but the family members of the deceased rejected this argument outright. He says that Utkarsh was not stressed at all about the loan.
Utkarsh’s brother Rohit Tiwari said that my brother was mentally strong. He can never be disturbed by things like loan. This is a direct murder. He has been pushed and dropped from the fourth floor. Similarly, his elder father Vibhu Kumar Tiwari also made serious allegations against the institute and said that the college management is trying to suppress the matter.
Accused of pushing from hostel roof
There should be a high level investigation of the case on this. Along with this, the family alleged that Utkarsh’s death is the result of ragging. He feared that he was first beaten up and then he was pushed down from the roof. The post -mortem report also found marks of serious injuries on the student’s face and back, which has deepened the possibility of murder.

However, the Khamaria police station has registered a case in this case and started investigation. Additional SP Suryakant Sharma said that the police is investigating from every angle. Friends of the deceased student and students living in hostels are being questioned. Investigations are being done keeping in mind both murder and ragging. Earlier too, a student committed suicide at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur and committed suicide. In such a situation, the frequent incidents have raised questions on the security system and the functioning of the anti-coagling cell in the institutions.
At present, the police is taking forward the investigation based on the post -mortem report and the statement of the students living in the hostel. Utkarsh’s death was an accident, suicide or murder after ragging, it will be clear in the coming days, but it is certain that this incident has once again put inhuman offense like ragging in the dock.
