Controversy over teaching Quran to non -Muslim children in madrasas, NHRC sought report from the state government in 15 days

A big controversy has arisen over the madrasas of Madhya Pradesh. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a detailed report in 15 days in 15 days, calling for a reply from the government government of 556 Hindu children in 27 madrasas of the state. It has been alleged in the complaint that in many madrasas, non -Muslim children are being taught Quran and Hadith without the permission of parents. Serious objections have been lodged by linking it to conversion.

According to the information, more than 5.56 lakh children are studied in about 27 thousand madrasas in the state. In these, the number of non -Muslim children is also being told very high. The National Human Rights Commission says that most madrasas are operating without government permission. Many madrasas of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone and Parasia districts have been specially identified.

How to admission in non -Muslim children madrasas?

The National Human Rights Commission has raised the question of how non -Muslim children are getting admission in these madrasas, while under the Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and Article 28 (3) of the Constitution, it is prohibited to provide religious education without permission. The Commission has directed the government to remove such children immediately and an FIR should be lodged against the ongoing madrasas.

‘Madrasas will not run the conversion’

Taking a tough stance on this matter, BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma said that madrasas in Madhya Pradesh will not run. Such madrasas will be locks. He said that the Collector and DEO have been instructed to take strict action. The leader said that strict action will be taken against those who convert and Mulla-Maulvi will also come under its purview.

Sharma clearly said that the conversion of children will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against those who try to trick Sanatani, Jain, Buddhist and Sikh children. He said that it is necessary to respect religious freedom, but it is completely wrong to force the children of any religion to teach other religion.

Congress raised questions

At the same time, the Congress has raised questions on this issue on Priyanka Kanungo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission. Congress leader Mukesh Nayak has said that Priyanka Kanungo should be investigated. Their activities are doubtful and they are trying to spoil communal harmony.

Accused of conversion of Hindu children

In fact, the National Human Rights Commission received a complaint on September 26, in which the racket of conversion of Hindu children was accused in madrasas of Madhya Pradesh. The complaint states that a total of 27 madrasas located in various areas of the state are included in this alleged racket. 556 Hindu children are being targeted in these madrasas.
