Another accident in Indore, a truck brake failed on Loha Mandi Bridge; Four vehicles collided


A major accident occurred due to the truck’s brake failure on Saturday night at Loha Mandi Bridge in Indore. The truck hit four vehicles. Two young women who were going to play Garba in the accident were also injured. The police have arrested the truck driver. Police claim that the truck is not heavy vehicle. The police have also denied no entry.

The incident is of Loha Mandi Bridge at around 8.30 pm. The truck number MP 09 GB 6446 was going from Loha Mandi towards Chandan Nagar. The truck brakes failed on the bridge and engulfed the car, loading vehicle and scooter. Scooter rider Sharmila resident Bhima Nagar and Monika Solanki resident Malaviya Nagar were injured due to the collision. Both were going to play Garba in Lalbagh.

Attempt to stop truck by changing gear

According to Additional DCP Zone-4 Dishesh Aggarwal, the brakes of the truck failed. The driver first tried to stop the truck by changing the gear. Finally he collided with the loading vehicle while saving. The driver told that he had come to Lohamandi between 12 and three. The truck was parked throughout the day.

At night he was going to vacate the drum in Chandannagar. According to DCP Zone-4 Anand Kaladigat, the registration of the truck is in the category of light commercial vehicle. It has not been taken in the category of heavy vehicle. The police will also make the vehicle owner accused in this incident. Fitness of the vehicle will be checked.

A truck filled with iron overturned in front of Tejaji Nagar police station. The truck overturned and got stuck in the railing on the bridge and the driver jumped. The accident is reported to be due to the pit on the bridge. According to Tejaji Nagar TI Devendra Markam, the incident took place around 9 pm. The driver Bhomsingh left Pithampur with an iron angel. He was going to Gadarwara (Jabalpur). The truck was filled with iron weighing about 40 tons.

The bridge has been gap due to rain. The front part of the truck’s engine came out, but the back was stuck. The balance of the vehicle was disturbed and suddenly overturned. It is a matter of honor that the truck got stuck in the railing and the big incident was averted.
