A major accident was averted on Saturday in the Mata temple complex of Khandera in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. Here the huge swing in the fair suddenly bowed to one side, due to which the people sitting in the swing hanged in the air and there was screaming around. Thankfully, there were no casualties in this incident.
There was chaos in devotees
According to the information, the fair is organized every year in the famous Khandera Mata temple located on Sagar Road, 18 km from Raisen (MP News) headquarters. The swing was bent here at around 3 pm on Saturday afternoon, in which children, women and youth were riding. This sudden incident spread panic among the devotees.

Quick help of police and local people
Nakatra Chowki Police (MP News) reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. Local people and police together climbed on the swing and brought the riders safely. During this time all the people were taken out safely. There was a relief amidst the chaos on the spot that no one was hurt.
Rain became the reason for the accident
Nakatra police outpost in -charge Ramcharan Parate said that a pillar of swing was sunk into the ground due to heavy rains last night. For this reason, the swing suddenly bowed to one side. However, all people were immediately taken off, otherwise a major accident could have occurred.
The swing was removed, investigation started
The swing has been removed after the accident. The police has started investigating the case (MP News), but no case has been registered so far. Jhula operator Lalla Ahirwar says that the pillar of the swing was sunk due to rain, causing this accident.
