Out of 800 pandals built in Jabalpur city, 675 running in arbitrary current

Two children and a young man have died due to current during Navratri in Jabalpur. Of the 800 pandals in the city, only 125 have taken temporary electricity connections, the rest is being used arbitrarily. Negligence and illegal electricity connections are causing accidents.

The death of two children and a young man within four days amidst the enthusiasm of Navratri festival has raised questions on the arbitrary way of the power company’s functioning and pandal decorating. According to a survey by the power company, around 800 Durga pandals are adorned at various sites in the city. Even after four days of the commencement of the festival, till now only 125 committees have also illuminated the pandals with temporary electricity connection.

The current is running arbitrary. Please tell that in Bargi Hills Colony on Wednesday night, two children Ved Srivas and Ayush Jharia died due to electrocution. Earlier, Shivam Thakur (27) was killed and Abhishek Muskule (25) was scorched after a current while decorating the pandal in Gadha Sharda Chowk.

  • Use wires without adding.
  • In an emergency, make tape to the wires and secure it in harmony.
  • Keep the height 13 feet minimum, not keeping the wires on the ground and keep the load on all the phase.
