A symbol of excellence of modern medical science in the state, the oldest and largest Pandit of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and its affiliated Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Hospital have constantly set such records in complex remedies that can be proud of everyone. The latest example was in the cardiology department of the Advanced Cardiac Institute (ACI), where the 68 -year -old female patients were successfully done on the 68 -year -old female patient and the first backman in the country’s first backman total physiological passing.
According to doctors, this complex process was not yet done in top institutions like AIIMS Delhi and PGI Chandigarh. Backman Total Physiological Pacing means – Control the heartbeat through a fully natural conduction system, so that the patient can get long -stagnant and safe heart rate.
It is worth noting here that till now there have been many cases of setting lead in left bundle or Hiz bundle in ACI and other government cardiac institutions, but this is the first case of putting leads in Right Atium i.e. backman bundle. Due to this, the heartbeat of both the hearts of the heart is operated through the natural electrical passage.
Dr. Smit Srivastava, Head of the Department of Cardiology of ACI, said that this patient resident of Raipur was suffering from severe heart disease called sick sinus syndrome. In this disease, the heartbeat cells (pacemaker cells) are damaged and the heartbeat becomes irregular. Generally, ventricular or left bundle pacing is done in such cases, but this patient’s heart was weak and atrial rhythm was also irregular. Only ventricular pacing was at risk of heart failure and sharp heartbeat.
For this reason, the ACI team decided to have backman total physiological packed. In this process, the lead of pacemaker was placed in the atrium part of the natural electrical structure of the heart. This technique helps the heart to beat its naturally and reduces the risk of heart failure.
The process concluded like this
The first left bundle position was electrophiziology mapping. Then in the same way, the backman bundle of Right Atrium was mapping and leading the lead. In this way the entire pacing system started functioning naturally.
In the treatment team, Dr. Smit Srivastava, Head of the Department of Cardiology, Dr. S. Of. Sharma, Dr. Kunal Ostwal, Dr. Anurag Kujur and Dr. Ved Prakash were included. This treatment was done under the Mukhyamantri Special Health Assistance Scheme, in which Medico Social Worker Khogendra Sahu had a special contribution in getting the benefit of the scheme.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the people of the state on this achievement and said that this successful treatment done by the Advanced Cardiac Institute is a proof of high levels and continuous progress of medical services of Chhattisgarh. He said that the largest government hospital in the state is no longer limited to normal treatment, but is also successfully executing world -class complex processes. Giving gratitude to the team of doctors, the Chief Minister said that this achievement not only gives new hope to the lives of patients, but also shows that government institutions are setting new records in medical science.
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that this complex treatment done by the Advanced Cardiac Institute, Raipur is a sign of the strengthening of the state health structure and the excellent capacity of doctors. He said that now patients of Chhattisgarh will not have to depend on metros for state -of -the -art cardiac procedures. It is the effort of the state government that every citizen should provide free and high level medical facilities to every citizen through schemes like Mukhyamantri Special Health Assistance Scheme. The Health Minister, while wishing the doctors party, said that this achievement will make Chhattisgarh more distinguished on the national medical map.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2022-23, ACI has finished fifth in the country in the treatment of the most cases of electrophysiology.
