The current situation in Ladakh after violence?
In the Union Territory of Ladakh, there was a violent demonstration on the demand of the entire state on Wednesday. In this demonstration, 4 people died and more than 90 people were injured. The protesting students stoned the police. Along with this, CRPF car and BJP office were set on fire. Responsible for the entire performance from the Ministry of Home Affairs Sonam Wangchuk Was held The administration imposed Section 163 of BNS to establish peace in the area. Along with this, an order has been issued to close the school for the next 2 days. Currently, curfew is imposed in the entire area.
In view of the whole situation, a team of the Ministry of Home Affairs reached Leh and took stock of the situation. The team has called the local MP along with representatives of Leh Apex Body, Kargil Democratic Alliance, where they will meet on 27-28 September.
The demands related to local interests will be discussed with these leaders. Meanwhile, more than 50 people have been detained to keep the situation under control in Leh. After the violence, the District Magistrate will not be able to take out any procession, rally or march without permission. Along with this, the gathering of five or more persons has been banned.
Curfew extended another day
There was peace in the Union Territory of Ladakh on Thursday and police and paramilitary forces strictly implemented curfew in Leh city. Curfew increased for one day on Thursday evening. On Wednesday, violence erupted in protests demanding state status, in which four people were killed and 90 others were injured. More than 50 people have been detained after the violence.
School-colleges will be closed for the next 2 days
In view of the current situation of Leh and Ladakh, Leh District Magistrate Romil Singh Donak has ordered the closure of all government and private schools, colleges and other educational institutions for two days from Friday. The District Magistrate said that Anganwadi centers will also be closed. The administration has taken this decision to maintain peace.
Wangchuk was responsible for violence
The Ministry of Home Affairs has blamed Sonam Wangchuk for the violence in Leh and Ladakh. It was said on behalf of the ministry that due to them, the entire area has been created.
On the other hand, Wangchuk said about the violence, ‘This is the saddest day for Ladakh. The path we were walking for the last five years was peaceful. He appealed to the youth to ‘stop the violence immediately as it harms our movement’. Wangchuk said about the allegations against himself that he is being made a goat of Bali.
CBI started investigation against Wangchuk
The central government has now started taking action, holding Wangchuk responsible in the violence. The CBI has started an investigation into the foreign funding case against Wangchuk’s NGO Himalayan Institute of Alternative Ladakh (HIL). The government has canceled the license of foreign funding of his NGOs. The CBI team is investigating the accounts and records of the NGO.
Regarding the CBI investigation, Wangchuk said that 10 days ago the CBI team came to him with the order of the Home Ministry. In this order, it was said that both their institutions did not take necessary approval for taking foreign donations.
