Government Railway Police (GRP) Raipur has arrested two accused in the case of two -wheeler theft. Both the accused are residents of Orissa and two Honda Activa vehicles worth Rs 1.60 lakh have been recovered from their possession. Police arrested Keshaba Sona (32 years, Nuagaon, Thana Komna, District Nuvapada, Orissa) and Duryodhana Sunani (45 years, Udanban, Thana Komna, District Nuvapada, Orissa) on 24 September 2025 respectively and 1:40 pm. The current address of both is Raipur.
The case started with the complaint of Deepti Chaudhary (22 years, Bilaspur), who said that on 23 August 2025, her sister-in-law Kanchan Pinjani’s Honda Activa (vehicle number CG04CR3570, Price Rs 1 Lakh) was stolen from two-wheeler parking of Raipur railway station. Deepti filed a police complaint on 25 August after not finding a car in the parking lot. Based on this, GRP started investigation by registering a case under Section 303 (2), 317 (2), 3 (5) BNS under Crime No. 107/2025.
On the instructions of Superintendent of Police (Railway) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rail) Raipur, the police team led by the station in -charge GRP took action on the basis of the information of the informer. During interrogation, accused Keshaba Sona admitted to stealing Deepti’s Activa. Also, he confessed to stealing another Activa (price 60,000 rupees) from Laxminagar, Tikrapara, Raipur, which was related to the crime number 270/2021 of Tikrapara police station.
The police recovered two stolen Activa vehicles from both the accused, whose total cost is Rs 1.60 lakh.
