Under the ‘Healthy Women -Strong Family’ campaign, the state -level event of Women’s Health Conference Day was held in the entire Chhattisgarh state with great enthusiasm and widespread participation. The main objective of this event was to make women aware and self -reliant by providing overall services related to health, nutrition, sanitation and maternity.
Thousands of women participated actively in this comprehensive campaign spread from remote rural areas of the state to urban areas. The presence of women in health check -up camps, vaccination sessions, nutrition dialogues and public awareness activities was notable.
In the VHSND (Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day) sessions organized under the program, women’s hemoglobin, blood pressure and sugar level were examined by the health department teams. , During this period, 1,889 pregnant women were provided necessary vaccinations, nutritional counseling and iron and calcium supplements. Teenage girls were given detailed information about menstrual hygiene, use of sanitary napkins and prevention measures from infection.
It was also told in the program how it is possible to prevent many diseases with balanced diet, clean water, regular checkup and exercise. Special emphasis was laid on measures to reduce nutrition education, hygiene behavior and maternal-infant mortality rate.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, health camps will be organized in all the districts by the coming week. In these camps, women suffering from high-risk pregnancy, malnutrition and other complex health conditions will be thoroughly examined.
This program not only expands medical services, but also makes women aware of their health rights, needs and self -sufficiency. This initiative is a strong step towards the overall development of women of the state, combining social empowerment with health.
