Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated 51 Mahtari houses of the state from Kareli Badi village of Magarlod development block of Dhamtari district. The Mahtari Sadan Yojana launched during the holy festival of Navratri was described by Sai as important for the promotion of mothers and sisters of the state. He said that the government had announced the construction of Mahtari houses to build centers in the villages for mothers and sisters, so that you can gather there and do their work together in a very convenient place. Today this big work has been completed. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, Lok Sabha MP Mati Roop Kumari Chaudhary, former minister and Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar and Secretary Mati Niharika Barik and district level officials were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister also handed over the transfer certificate of the Mahtari Sadan to the women’s group members of Aastha Mahila Sankal organization Kareli Badi. The Chief Minister also planted the campus of the campus Maul.

The Chief Minister inaugurated 51 Mahtari Houses of Kareli of Dhamtari, the Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Sadan Yojana is an important step towards making Chhattisgarh a model of women-focused development. The Mahtari House will not only be the basis of women’s progress, but it will be the basis of progress of the entire state. The Chief Minister said that this Mahtari Sadan will be the new center of power, honor and self-reliance of mothers and sisters. Mahtari Sadan will open the doors of education, skills and entrepreneurship. He said that economic activities will be encouraged by adding women self-help groups in these houses. Several programs like sewing, embroidery, weaving, handicrafts, agricultural-based training and digital literacy will be run in the Mahtari Sadan for mothers and sisters.
