CM Vishnudev Sai on the inauguration program of social building “Olekh”.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai announced a total of Rs 75 lakh for Dhurwa Samaj at five places at a cost of fifteen-fifteen lakh rupees. At the same time, he also assured to approve the proposals submitted by 36 sarpanches of Dhurwa Samaj for the development of Gram Panchayats. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai on Sunday announced this during the inauguration program of Dhurwa Samaj’s divisional level Nuakhai Milan ceremony and newly constructed social building “Olekh” in the forest school campus of Jagdalpur.
Vishnudev Sai Said that the state government is committed to the overall development of tribal society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not lacking any kind of money in the development of tribal -dominated villages, there should be no problem of money – from this point of view, the Earth Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana has been launched.
A provision of 80 thousand crore rupees has been made for this scheme. The Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana has been started for the upliftment of special backward tribes, due to which positive efforts are being made to connect these special backward tribes with the mainstream of development.
Ganga of development will flow in tribal areas
CM Sai said that with all these meaningful efforts, the Ganges of development will flow in the tribal areas and our tribal communities will move on the path of continuous progress.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister worshiped the deity of Bastar in a symbolic Gudi and inaugurated the newly constructed social building of Dhurwa Samaj.
Vishnudev Sai bowed down to the heroic hero martyr Gundadhur of Dhurwa Samaj and said that this historic Nuakhai Milan ceremony today is the conductor of our rich culture and traditions. It is a great tradition of our tribal society that before taking any grain or fruit, we worship our deities and offer them to them. This tradition is still intact today and it will be maintained for generations to come.
CM remembers the contribution of former PM Vajpayee
Chief Minister Sai congratulated the Dhurwa Samaj for the inauguration of the social building “Olera” and said that this new building will prove to be extremely useful in terms of development of the society and will be useful for the meeting-conferences of the society.
Recalling the contribution of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said that the former Prime Minister formed a separate Tribal Affairs Ministry in the Government of India keeping in mind the welfare of the tribal community. Atalji’s birth centenary year is being celebrated as Atal construction year.
The Chief Minister mentioned the role of Special Tribal Area Development Authority for the development of tribal dominated Bastar and Surguja divisions. He said that former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had constituted both special tribal area development authorities, worrying about the development of these areas, so that necessary development works can be ensured in these areas besides the schemes.
Emphasis on development in Maoism affected areas
He said that our government is providing basic facilities like housing and ration along with ensuring availability of roads, bridges, electricity and water through the Nayed Nellanar scheme in Maoist affected areas of Bastar division. We are working with full commitment towards providing benefit of public interest schemes to every eligible person.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, while wishing the members of Dhurwa Samaj for the Nuakhai Milan ceremony, said that this coordinated effort of the society is inspiring for the new generation. He said that when we discharge the traditions of our ancestors and keep them continuously, the unity and culture of society is strong.

The program was also addressed by Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MP Bastar Mahesh Kashyap and MLA Jagdalpur Kiran Dev and wished the Dhurwa Samaj for the Nuakhai Milan ceremony. Initially, the divisional president of Dhurwa Samaj, Pappu Nag presented a welcome address and apprised them of the activities of the society. Officials of the society offered the Chief Minister a kind of welcome by offering arrows and bows including traditional roof, Dhurwa Tuwal and Koti. Other guests were also welcomed in a traditional way.
On this occasion, Chitrakot MLA Vinayak Goyal, Dantewada MLA Chaitram Atami, Chhattisgarh Braverage Corporation President Srinivasa Rao Maddi, Jagdalpur Mayor Sanjay Pandey and other public representatives, Commissioner Bastar Doman Singh, IG Sundararaj P, Collector Haris S, Superintendent of Police, Hariis S, Superintendent of Police and members were present from the entire Bastar division.
