UP News: Kanpur. A heartbreaking incident in Kanpur Crime in Uttar Pradesh has shocked everyone. Suraj living in live-in relationship here brutally killed his girlfriend Akanksha alias Mahi.

After the incident, he filled the body in the suitcase and with the help of his friend to Banda, where he was thrown into the Yamuna river. Police investigation revealed that there was a continuous dispute between Akanksha and Suraj about the marriage. There was an argument between the two on the night of the incident, in which Akanksha slapped the sun. Angry due to this, Suraj beat him badly and strangled him to death.

Cross the limits of humanity

After the murder, the accused did a shocking act. He took the body in a suitcase and took a selfie with it and put it on WhatsApp status. After this, with the help of his friend, the body was taken to Banda and thrown into the Yamuna river. The police have also recovered this photo from the mobile of the accused.

Police revealed

Hanumant Vihar Police Station Rajiv Singh said that Akanksha was pressurizing Suraj to marry. Suraj was refusing to marry and feared that Akanksha was threatening to make the photo viral or fall into a false case. In this fear and anger, he killed Akanksha.

Akanksha used to work in restaurant

Akanksha, a resident of Sujnipur, was 19 years old. His father had passed away and the family’s financial condition was weak. He started working in the restaurant to run the family. Recently she was working in a restaurant in Hanumant Vihar Galla Mandi.

The family had reported missing

The deceased’s mother Vijayashree said that on July 20, 2025, the daughter was spoken on the phone on 20 July 2025. Then he had said to come home. Later Akanksha went missing and missing a report was filed, but no action was taken. On September 8, a complaint was lodged on the helpline 1076, after which the truth was revealed.

Mourning in the village

As soon as the news of Akanksha’s death reached the village, weeds were mourned. The mother and siblings were crying crying. People around were also shocked by the incident and came to console the family.
