The growing number of monkeys in Chirmiri region had been a problem for the people for a long time. People used to worry about their terror on the day. Sometimes these monkeys entered the houses, sometimes they used to harm the fields. Many times there were complaints of attacking passers and children. Taking this problem seriously, Health Minister and local MLA Shyam Bihari Jaiswal instructed Manish Kashyap of Manendragarh to campaign.
35 monkeys left in Guru Ghasidas Park
The forest department team has so far caught 35 monkeys and safely left in Guru Ghasidas Park. There is a natural environment and safe environment available for them. This initiative of the department has not only brought relief to the citizens, but also the message of wildlife conservation. DFO Manish Kashyap made it clear that this campaign is being carried out without harming any wildlife. He says that wildlife is also a part of nature and it is the responsibility of the department to protect them.
