In the last nine months, security forces have been successful on the front. During this period, 28 Naxalites were killed in encounters, while 27 surrendered and chose the mainstream path. The continuous action is weakening the Naxal organization and the pressure of surrender on small cadres is increasing.
The police have got a significant success against Maoist activities. A long -active and a prize money of eight lakh rupees, Maoist Janasi alias Kaushalya has surrendered to the police.
According to the police, Jansi is the notorious Maoist and the wife of the deceased DVC member Satyam Gavade. According to the information, Janasi has been engaged in Maoist activities for the last 20 years. He is considered quite senior in this field. After the two CC members were killed, Janasi came under the category of senior Maoists.
Currently she was the secretary of the Nagari Area Committee and her position in the organization was quite important. After the recent security forces killed many top Maoist leaders, Janasi’s surrender is a major success for the police and a major setback for the Maoist organization.
The Superintendent of Police said in the press conference that Janasi decided to surrender due to the rehabilitation policy and family pressure of the government. He said that the organization is now continuously weakening. The morale of small cadres is also breaking up after the death of big leaders.
SP Nikhil Rakhecha believes that the surrender of senior cadre like Janasi is a sign of internal break in the Naxal organization. The police hopes that in the coming days, Naxalites will leave the weapons and join the mainstream of the society.
