SIT report not disturbed in Vantara
In Jamnagar area of Gujarat, the Ambani family has built a residential of wild animals named Vantara. On Monday, the Supreme Court said that in the report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by him, no disturbance has been found in Vanatara. The court said that in the investigation of SIT, there is no flaw in the process of purchasing elephants from the forest department and keeping them as per rules.
The Supreme Court further said that in the investigation of the SIT set up on our behalf, it has been found that if the Vanatara takes elephants under its protection and follows the whole process, then there is nothing wrong in this but it is good. The SIT report proves that the rules are being followed in Vantara. Wild animals are being taken care of under the rules. This report was presented in the Supreme Court on Friday. After which this report was observed on Monday.
SIT report will not be made public
In this whole case, Vantara’s lawyer Harish Salve told the court that the report should not be made public. If this happens, then foreign newspaper reports like New York Times will publish and create a native. After this, Supreme Court Justice Pankaj Mithil and Justice P.B. Varale’s bench that SIT’s report would not be made public. The report will be kept confidential. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that we are satisfied with the report of SIT.
Supreme Court ordered an inquiry on August 14
