Started as a virtual assistant
Diela was introduced as AI-Operated Digital Assistant in January. It was designed to look like a woman wearing a traditional Albanian dress. Its purpose was to help citizens to navigate the official e-albania platform. It provides access to the platform documents and services.
Diella has so far provided facility to release 36,600 digital documents and has given about 1,000 services through platforms. In Albania, corruption cases in government contracts are coming to the fore and again. Is the AI minister a provision in the Constitution?

Rama’s Socialist Party has formed the government for the fourth consecutive time by winning 83 out of 140 seats in the elections held on May 11. The party can run the government alone and can pass most of the laws, but to change the constitution it needs 93 seats.
Albania wants membership of EU
The Socialist Party has said that it can give Albania a membership of the European Union (EU) in the next 5 years. The conversation will be completed by 2027. However, opposition Democrats says that Albania is not ready for it yet.
Albania started dialogue for the membership of EU a year ago.
