24 December 2022… People of Korba of Chhattisgarh cannot forget this date. A young woman was brutally murdered. Bus conductor Sahban Khan (30), who hails from Ahmedabad, became so uncontrollable on suspicion of infidelity of his 20 -year -old girlfriend that he first raped her and then murdered her by 51 with a screwdriver. Now the District Court has sentenced the convict to life imprisonment in this case.
Sahban Khan came to Jaipur from Ahmedabad. He used to work as a conductor in Chishti bus service while staying in Jaipur. This bus used to run from Jaipur to Korba. Meanwhile, she met a woman studying in Madanpur area, who often traveled by bus. Friendship gradually turned into love and co-co-operative made the intention of marriage. But the story changed when the girl started talking to another young man. This got angry with this and tried to stop him several times. Even called the woman’s mother and threatened to stop the daughter, otherwise they will kill both of them.
Reached Raipur with a flight from Ahmedabad
Suspicion -filled co -stake conspired to kill. On December 24, 2022, he reached Raipur with a flight from Ahmedabad and came to Korba from there. After staying at Hotel Salim, he reached the girlfriend’s house after seeing the opportunity. There was a fierce debate between the two. Angry, the co -co -worker raped the girl first and then picked up the screwdriver and made 51 blows on her chest. No one was present in the house at the time of the incident. The woman died on the spot.
The body was found soaked in blood
After some time, the brother, who reached home, saw the sister soaked in blood and informed the police. In the investigation, blood -soaked shoes, shirts, earphones and condom packets were recovered from the spot. Due to the matter being very sensitive, the police took help of the cyber cell and after about one and a half months of effort, the accused was arrested from Gujarat and brought to Korba. During interrogation, the co -co -ordination confessed his crime.
The court of Special Judge Jaideep Garg of the District Court convicted Sahban Khan. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 75 thousand while sentenced to life imprisonment to the accused. It was also ordered that if he does not pay the fine, he would have to deduct an additional 18 months jail.
