Police has arrested a young man in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. The arrested youth is named Sohail Balim alias Sonu. Sohail is accused of befriending a young woman and pressurizing her to convert to marry her. He also threatened to defame the woman and kill him. The whole matter came to light when the woman revealed the misdeeds of the accused and lodged a complaint against her at the Civil Line police station.
The victim accused Sohail that she hid her religion from the beginning. Later Sohail told that he is a Muslim. He also pressurized the victim’s girl, saying marriage. The accused told the woman that if she wants to marry her, she will have to adopt Islam. On the victim’s refusal, the accused also threatened to defame her and kill her.

However, his friend managed to escape. According to the police, Sohail Balim alias Sonu is a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The police have registered a case against the accused under sections of Indian justice and Section five of the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act-2021. After presenting the accused in court, the Central Jail was sent to Satna.
