Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is organizing two festivals to promote eco-tourism and adventure tourism. The fourth edition of Gandhisagar Forest Retreat will take place from September 12 at Gandhisagar Dam in Mandsaur district and the second edition of Koono Forest Retreat will be held from October 5 at Koono National Park in Sheopur district.

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi said in a press conference in the Kushabhau Thackeray International Auditorium on Tuesday that these events are not only tourism, but an attempt to add natural heritage, cultural prosperity and environmental protection. They will also provide employment to local communities.

Additional Chief Secretary Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that Gandhisagar and Kuno are examples of experience-based tourism, where activities such as glumping, parasailing, paramotoring, jet ski, haat air ballooning, jungle safari, night walk and star gagging will attract tourists.

He said that both places will run for 90 days, but Tent City is all time. These events have been designed in such a way that tourism as well as environmental protection, participation of local communities and sustainable development should be given priority.

Gandhisagar Forest Retreat

The backwater area of ​​the dam built on the Chambal River is 50 tents, water-tal-vayu exciting activities, boat safari, boat spa, butterfly garden and Story Tailing in Rak Garden.

Kuno Forest Retreat

After the return of the cheetahs, Kuno is now becoming the center of wellness and eco-tourism. Here 25 Tent City, Jungle Safari, Yoga-meditation session, Village Tour, Haat Air Ballooning, Star Gazing and New Cheetah Interpretation Center will give special experiences to tourists.
