A big accident took place in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh with a procession going for Ganesh immersion at around ten o’clock last night. During the accident, a high speed Bolero entered the crowd, causing three people to die on the spot. While 22 people were injured in the accident. The condition of more than half of the injured is said to be critical. There was chaos on the spot during the accident.
The case is of Jurudund village of Garden police station area of the district. A large number of people of the village were going towards the pond for Ganesh immersion here. During this time, a high speed Bolero crushed the people of the crowd and bounced many people in the air. During this, the car driver was caught by the people and beat him fiercely. Other people in the car were also riding who escaped from the spot after the accident.

Three people were killed in the accident, who have been identified as Arvind age 19 years, Vipin Kumar Prajapati age 17 years and a woman Khirovati Yadav age 32 years. At the same time, the car also hit 22 other people. The condition of many of these people is said to be critical.
Gambhir marijas were referred
Soon after the accident, all the injured were brought to the Community Hospital Center on the spot. The team of doctors treated the injured. Also, patients whose condition was critical has been referred to Ambikapur Medical College for treatment. The body of the dead was also sent for postmortem.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, Jashpur MLA Rayamuni Bhagat reached the hospital late at night and met the family members of the injured. He assured to provide all possible help from the administration. On getting the information, the district collector Rohit Vyas and SSP Shashimohan Singh also reached the spot and took information about the case.
Regarding the matter, SP Shashimohan of the district said that the Bolero driver has been caught immediately after the accident. The injured are undergoing treatment. At present, the matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
