CM Mohan Government will increase the DA of employees-officials in 3 years


The state government headed by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav (CM Mohan Yadav Government) has started the rolling budget process. Right now Employee Welfare is getting 55% dearness allowance (DA). It aims to increase it to 64% by the end of the financial year 2024-25. The government will increase DA in two installments (DA Increase). 4% will be increased by Diwali and 5% before March 2025. In this way the DA of employees will reach 64%.

94% dearness allowance by 2028-29

The government has done the Government Announcement that it will be increased to 94% by 2028-29 by increasing DA every year. Accordingly, the department -wise budget limit has also been set.

Budget of 2026-27 ready, 74% DA provision

Although half the financial year has not been completed, the government has started preparing the budget of 2026-27. There are plans to give 74% DA to employees that year.

The announcement of the Government of India will affect

The Government of India can increase 3% DA in the next financial year. After this, DA will also reach 58% in the state. The state government has decided that employees will be given benefits with the announcement of the Center.

Pensioners still have less profit

At present, pensioners are being given only 53% inflation relief. Due to the lack of consent of Chhattisgarh due to the State Reorganization Act, they are getting 2% less allowance than employees. The Pensioners Association has described it as injustice.

5th and 6th pay scale also benefited

The Finance Department has clarified that employees who get the 5th and 6th pay scale will also be given 10% DA every year by increasing. It will reach 295% by 2028-29.

85 thousand crores spent on establishment expenditure

About 30% of the budget of the state government goes to establishment expenses. In 2026-27, this amount is estimated to reach 85 thousand crore rupees.

Preparation for eighth pay scale started

The Government of India has constituted the 8th Pay Scale Commission. Accordingly, the state government is also preparing to give the benefit of new pay scale to its 7.5 lakh employees and 4.5 lakh pensioners.
