Hrithik’s ‘War 2’ turned out to cracker, Junior NTR ruined in stale story

War 2 review: Nowadays, the spice of friendship and enmity in films has become too much. But when it comes to two superstars, and both of them in the same frame, then the excitement is bound to increase. On the one hand, our ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan, whose millions of people die on every act. And on the other hand, ‘Young Tiger’ Junior NTR of South, whose entry echoes with applause. When it was announced to bring these two veterans together, the mercury of expectations has reached the seventh sky. But did this collision really happen as we thought? Or did it become just another common masala film? Come, let us know layer by layer in this review.

Story

Many years ago, India’s best agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik Roshan) suddenly disappears. Now he returns, but this time he is the most dangerous move against the country. To stop it, the government has sent its most brave officer Vikram (Junior NTR). But Vikram also has a past and he is filled with suspense like his mission. In this mission, Vikram supports Kavya Thapar (Kiara Advani), whose aim is not just to save the country, but also something else. After all, how did Kabir suddenly become the enemy of the country, who had spent his life on the country? Will Vikram and Kavya be able to stop this Kabir? To know this, you have to go to the theater and see War 2.

Learn how this film is

Hrithik Roshan enters the film with a banged action scene. Seeing their swags and action, it seems that it will be fun now. But after this initial blast, the speed of the story slows down a bit. War 2 has the same decisive story and style, which we have seen in many detective films before. It seems as if someone has cut some parts from the old scripts. In today’s era, where we have become a habit of looking at the story of Indian Raw and intelligence agents in realistic form through the web series on OTT, the story of ‘War 2’ seems to be faded.

Direction

The film is directed by Ayan Mukherjee, from which after making films like ‘Brahmastra’, it was expected that he would bring some newness in this espionage universe. He started the film, but after that his grip on the story gets loose. Under his direction, he does not see newness and freshness, which was expected. It seems in many places in the film, as the director has only trusted the stardom of Hrithik and Junior NTR, not on strengthening the story. Ayan has tried hard to improve the action thriller, but he is frustrated. Many parts of the film seem to be illusional, then they feel forcibly pull.

Acting

Hrithik Roshan has returned to his old form from War 2. His look in the entire film, his swag and his presence on the screen is amazing. As Kabir, he fits as usual. Even though his character does not have much depth, but in some places he leaves his mark as an actor. His perfection is made in every action scene, his perfection is made. But if you talk about the character of Junior NTR, then disappointment is found here. From his styling to the design of his character, everything seems incomplete. This character has been introduced very weakly for a strong actor like NTR. He had nothing special to do, and this is not his director’s big mistake. An actor, who surprises the audience with his performance, had to remain confined to a simple character.

For example, if you talk about Janabe Ali Dance Number, then Hrithik, the moves of this dance, present with great ease, while looking at NTR, it seems that he is putting a lot of efforts for this dance. If the choreographer wanted, some steps could also be choreographed for NTR, because they are also a good dancer.

Among the rest of the artists, Kiara Advani is also fine. But most of the time is seen in songs and love-scenes, which do not have any significant impact on the story. Anil Kapoor also comes on screen for a few moments and his character also seems incomplete.

Action and music

Fight and action sequences are kept in the film which are good. His credit action directors Spiro Razatos, Franz Spilhouse, N.L. Arsu, Oh Si Young, Craig Macre and Sunil Rodrigues (Rod). The background score of the film is amazing, whose credit goes to accumulated and Ankit Balhara. The songs of the film given by Pritam are fine, but you will not be able to remember like War 2.

Final Wordict: Expectations like mountains and results like sand

If you are Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR’s dye-hard fan, then you can watch this film. Seeing these two together on the screen is a different fun in itself. But this film seems boring compared to Siddharth Anand’s war. There is also an emotional moment with absolutely some good action sequences, which you may like. But if you are expecting a strong story, best action and a bang chemistry between two superstars, then you may be disappointed. Overall, this film is like a dream, which the pilot flew to show, but the way was lost in the middle. As soon as the dream opens, that is, while coming out of the theater, a tightness definitely remains that ‘I wish … it would have been a little better!’
