Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that there was a recent high rain in some districts of the state. The state government has taken a very prompt action in giving relief to the people affected by excess rainfall. He said that 3628 citizens have been safely rescued in the districts with high rains. He told that with the stoppage of the rain, some citizens have gone to their respective homes. But now, in 53 relief camps, 3065 affected people are being provided all kinds of necessary help like food and drink medicines etc.
He said that the government is standing with full sensitivity with every person affected. He has instructed all the collectors that the overflow or flood affected should not face any difficulty. Soon the survey should be completed soon and their loss should be compensated properly. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the relief amount of Rs 28.49 crore has been distributed by the collectors of the overflowing districts.
Chief Minister gave instructions to District Magistrates
Explain that continuous efforts were made by the Chief Minister that the people of the state should not face problems under any circumstances. He has said that sensitive governance is that, which is always available for the interest of the person standing at the end of the society at all times. Under the instructions of the Chief Minister, all preparations for overflow/flood management were already started by the government. A detailed review was done by the Chief Secretary on 9 June. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also gave guidelines to all the collectors on 22 July in relation to pre-flood preparations and benefiting the public.
3300 disaster friends trained
Preparations were made by the government at a large scale in following the instructions of CM Yadav. The teams of NDRF were deployed in Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Dhar. SDRF was deployed at sensitive places across the state. Disaster Response Center was established in 259 sensitive areas across the state and 111 Quick Response Team was deployed. 3300 disaster friends were also trained to connect the common people in these works.
Red alert sent from mobile
CM Mohan Yadav had instructed that the common man should be informed about the dangers of floods in time. For this task, the state disaster control room continuously sent via red alerts through mobile. Detailed arrangements were made by the Irrigation Department, so that the water level of the dams and the water to be released can be delivered to the collector and the concerned persons in time.
Information received from the Meteorological Department is also being made available to all concerned officials and rescue teams continuously. To monitor all these works, state level control rooms running 24 hours were set up.
711.3 mm of rain so far in the state
It was also ensured by the government that necessary life -saving medicines were available in all hospitals and health camps of the state and advance food grains were stored at 62 places, so that the general public would not face any kind of problem if needed. The state has received 711.3 mm of rainfall so far so far, which is 59 percent more than normal.
This more rainfall than normal has also been rapid in less time. Out of 1107 mm of rain in Mandla, about 51 percent rainfall has been received in only 4 days. A total of 40 districts of the state have received more than normal rainfall, the remaining 9 districts have received normal rainfall and less than normal rainfall in 2 districts.
Tatkal improvement work in 212 roads
Due to this overflow, about 254 rural roads affected by the state, 212 roads have been done immediate improvement work. Through barricades, it was ensured that there is no death due to this and waterlogging in all the small and big dams of the state has increased, but the gates were opened and closed in time, so that there is no loss of life anywhere and the availability of irrigation water remains in future.
All the dams of the state are being monitored regularly. The help of the army is being taken as required to protect the floods. The Government of India is also getting full support. The supply of medicines and food items has been ensured in the state. All hospitals have been kept on alert. According to the instructions of the Chief Minister in the flood disaster, the government has done rescue proceedings by conducting relief and rescue operations with great sensitivity and readiness.
94 culverts damaged in highway and main road
All kinds of facilities and relief are being provided to them by running relief camps for 2325 people affected over the high -raising of the state. Medicines, food and drinking water are being provided quickly in these relief camps. Apart from this, 94 culverts were damaged on the highway and main road, but alternative routes were provided immediately, so that there is no disruption in traffic.
Administration carried out rescue operations
432 rescue operations have been carried out by the redemption parties and rescue relief parties posted in the state, in which 3628 citizens and 94 cattle have been rescued alive. 47 people have been recorded due to overflowing, 132 due to sinking of accident in the river-drain, 60 from celestial electricity and 13 people have been killed due to falling walls, houses and trees. Along with this, 432 animal loss and 1200 chickens have died and 128 houses have received full and 2333 houses have suffered partial damage.
Relief amount of Rs 28.49 crore distributed
A relief amount of Rs 28.49 crore has been distributed to the affected persons by the district collectors. Arrangements of about 3600 crore rupees have been made by the government under relief, so that there is no financial disruption in relief work. On July 30, the Chief Minister reached the Flood Disaster Control Room (State Command Center) and inspected the live operations and disaster management work of relief work.
Chief Minister boosted morale of rescue parties
During the inspection, he visited the rescue operations very closely. Increased the morale of rescue parties and encouraged people suffering from excess rainfall and encouraged them. The Chief Minister directed that helping the people affected by excess rainfall in the state is the top priority of the Madhya Pradesh government. Apart from this, all the necessary steps should be taken regarding excess rainfall and flood relief operations. The Chief Minister has said that it should also be ensured that the public does not have any kind of problem with excess rainfall.
