350 nursing college of MP does not have recognition… Future of thousands of students at stake

The new session of nursing education in Madhya Pradesh is going to start with great dilemma. More than 350 nursing colleges of the state have not been able to get recognition from the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (MPNRC) so far, due to which the admission of the students is facing a crisis.

The result of the eligibility test for admission in nursing has been declared, but thousands of students are confused due to non -completion of the recognition process. From college management to students, everyone is worried about how long the admission process will begin.

Why not get recognition?

Every year nursing colleges have to renew their recognition. This process is usually completed by 14 July, after which admissions for the new education session begin. But this time the recognition process is still pending due to the slow functioning of the Nursing Council and the delay of inspection reports.

As a result, despite reaching by the end of July, colleges have neither been recognized nor allowed to give them admission to new students.

Students’ concern increased

Recently, the result of pre-nursing selection test (PNST) has been released by Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board. 60,707 candidates appeared in this examination, out of which 17,450 candidates have been successful.

There are about 20,000 BSC nursing seats in the state, but if the recognition process is further delayed, then students will not get admission in these seats. With this, the future of thousands of students can hang in the balance.

What to say about the Nursing Council?

Manoj Kumar Sariyam, chairman of Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council, said that the report of inspection from many districts is yet to come. Recognition will be given only after receiving the report. It is our endeavor that students do not have any kind of trouble.
