Maldives President Mohammad Mujju on Saturday praised the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in strengthening India-Maldives relations. The President said that bilateral relations will be more rich in the coming days. Mujju said that Prime Minister Modi is a great person who is interested in strengthening relations with neighboring countries of India. Rashtrapati Mujju said that there are very good relations between Maldives and India and with their leadership and cooperation between the two countries and the two governments, I believe that this relationship will be stronger in the coming days.
Prime Minister Modi visited Maldives on 25-26 July, during which he interacted with President Mujju. In the presence of the two leaders, several compromise measures were signed and some agreements were exchanged for the purpose of promoting bilateral relations in various fields.
UPI agreement with Maldives
When asked about the UPI Agreement, the President of Maldives said that this will definitely benefit the Indian tourists coming here and the Maldivas going to India. At the beginning of the FTA talks between the two countries, he said that he is very hopeful. He said, “I think we have just started it and of course we hope that we will complete it very soon”.
PM Modi is a good person
During a conversation with reporters, Mujju was also asked about his bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi. He said that he is an excellent person who is interested in strengthening relations with neighboring countries. There are centuries -old good relationship between India and Maldives, and these relations under their leadership will be even better.
India’s role in the development of Maldives
Asked when his next visit to India will be, he said that it is expected in the near future. On the role of India in the development of Maldives, he said that all of you have seen that India has helped in the development of Maldives in the past and there will be no doubt that India will be a very important partner later. Mujju also told that India is one of the major countries that help in promoting tourism in Maldives.
