Police reached the spot and brought the injured to the hospital
In Gwalior, a big accident took place with devotees who went on a Kawad Yatra in the holy month of Sawan. Late at around 1 pm, a high speed car hit the roadside kanwadi. In this accident, four Kanwari died on the spot, while two others were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital. The accident took place near Sheetla Mata Road Tirahe of Kampu police station area. This area is adjacent to Gwalior-Shivpuri Link Road (Agra-Mumbai National Highway).
Kanwariya was returning to his village after filling Kanwar from Bhadavana. Then the high speed car crushed him. Angry people vandalized the car. Seeing the anger of the people, the accused car driver escaped from the spot. At the same time, the police have taken the car in their possession and started searching for it by registering a case against the car driver.
In fact, Puran alias Bimla Banjara, Dinesh Banjara, Ramesh Banjara, Chhotu Banjara, Prahlad Banjara, Baba Gosai and others 7 people, who hail from Sidna village of Ghatigaon police station area in Gwalior, had left for Bhadavan on Tuesday morning. All 12 people were members of the same family. While another villagers were also included in the group of Kanwari.
Car overturned, driver absconding
The speed of the car was so fast that after hitting it, she herself overturned on the road. The collision was so fast that three Kanwaria Puran alias Bakela, Ramesh and Dinesh died tragically on the spot. While Chhotu Banjara, Prahlada and Baba Gosai were seriously injured. Apart from this, seven other people in the group suffered minor injuries.
As soon as the accident was reported, the police reached the spot and the three seriously injured people were admitted to the Trauma Center of Jayarogya Hospital for treatment. Where the injured Chhotu died during treatment. Earlier, after the accident, the local people surrounded the car and vandalized it. Seeing the anger of the people, the car driver escaped from the spot. The name of the car owner is being told by Rahul Batham resident Pardi Mohalla. At present, the police has seized the car and started searching for the car driver.
CSP Gwalior Hina Khan said, ‘Police reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. The police took the bodies of the dead and sent it for postmortem. The injured were taken to the hospital. At present, the accused driver is being searched. Vinod Kumar, the family of the deceased, told that our children had gone to fill the kawad, but did you know that such an accident would happen. He demanded from the government that the guilty should be caught soon and punished severely and financial assistance should be provided to the victims’ families.
