Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with other members of the team, appreciated the incredible innings played in the Lord’s Test of all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja. On the last day of the Lord’s Test, Jadeja faced 181 balls and scored an unbeaten 61 runs. His innings never felt that he was struggling. His readiness to win India was clearly seen in batting. However, Jadeja’s innings could not win India. India has lagged behind 2–1 in the series. In a video posted on BCCITV on Friday, coach Gambhir said, “It was an incredible match. Jaddu’s struggle was excellent.” Jadeja, chasing the target of 190 runs, showed tremendous patience in keeping India in the race for victory. Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj said, “As a player in the team, Jaddu Bhai is extraordinary in fielding, bowling and batting. The improvement in batting is scored for the team in every important situation. It is very difficult for the team to find such a player. We are lucky that our team is such a player.” Assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeshet said that Jadeja also made aggressive partnerships of 35 and 23 runs with Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj. His batting has now reached a new level. The continuity and restraint he has shown in the last two Tests is commendable. He has seen him playing for so many years and now his defense is very strong with the way he has improved his game, he seems a great batsman. Jadeja’s fellow player in the Saurashtra team and now India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak described him as a valuable member of the Test team. He said, “I always felt that they have the ability to withstand pressure. Any player with so much experience will mature. He usually brings something according to the need of the team in any challenging situation. He is really valuable for the team.” India will now try to return to the fourth Test match against England in Manchester from July 23, after which the fifth and final match of the series will be played at The Oval in London from 31 July to 4 August. Indian fans also hope that the team will return to the series by returning to the rest of the series.
