The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has released its second sustainability report that with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence), its functioning has improved a big improvement. NHAI has launched a digital platform called Data Lake 3.0 which also covers information related to the project and helps in taking fast decisions. 25,680 crore saving from AI

The direct effect of this digital change was that NHAI resolved 155 long -running disputes. Solving these cases saved about 25,680 crore government funds, which is a major achievement in itself. The report also states that NHAI has not only adopted technology, but has also taken major steps for the safety and health of the employees. Under this, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) framework has been implemented at the workplaces. Not only this, the effect of efforts to promote diversity and equality was that there was no complaint of any discrimination in a year.

Fastag shows impact in the country

According to the report, now the reach of Fastag in the country has been 98.5 per cent. Its has a direct impact on the toll plaza-now long queues are reduced, vehicles pass without stopping, which is causing petrol and diesel saving and pollution. NHAI also stated that it is now giving priority to sustainable policies like greenery, solar energy and waste management in its construction works. It is aimed at the rapid development as well as the impact on the environment should be minimized.
