Devotees gathered to see Baba Mahakal

On the first Monday of Sawan, the wind of faith in the world famous Sri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. From midnight, a large crowd of devotees started gathering outside the temple. Thousands of devotees were seen standing in queue to get the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. Today, at 2:30 am, Baba Mahakal woke up at 2:30 am and a grand puja from Panchamrit was done and special adornments were done. After this, Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti started.

Special arrangements were made by the temple administration for the devotees. In the normal days, where only 1700 devotees are able to visit Bhasma Aarti directly, today, by arranging for the moving Bhasma Aarti, thousands of devotees were given the benefit of darshan. Devotees were given this Divya Bhasma Aarti from Kartik Mandapam. With the beginning of the month of Shravan, the Mahakal temple of Ujjain has started flooding and the first Monday became very grand and historic.

Baba Mahakal was specially decorated

A special decoration of Baba Mahakal was worshiped in the Mahakaleshwar temple today. Pandit Mahesh Sharma, priest of Mahakal temple, said that today silver gates were opened with the permission of Virbhadra. After this, the priests first worshiped the idols of all the God installed in the sanctum sanctorum and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Mahakal. After this, the water of Hari Om was also offered by playing the first Ghantal.

Mahanirvani Akhara worshiped

After the Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was wearing a garland of flowers. Then after the Jyotirlinga of Baba Mahakal was offered by offering consumers by the Mahanirvani Arena. Thousands of devotees arrived in Bhasma Aarti today, who received blessings by seeing this divine form of Baba Mahakal. In the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, devotees were seen shouting Lord Bholenath. The administration also showed a ready outside the temple premises.
