The Prime Minister of Bangladesh will no longer be called Sir, know why the Yunus government took the decision?

Mohammad Yunus is busy clipping the post of PM.

Officials of Bangladesh will no longer call the Prime Minister Sir. This decision has been taken by the interim government of Yunus. Yunus’s press advisor said that those protocols are also being reviewed, which the Prime Minister used to get during Sheikh Hasina. We are trying to eliminate all those unusual things.

The government of Bangladesh has also stopped saying the heads of women officers, which were being called Sir under the protocol till now.

According to BBC Bangla, Sheikh Hasina made a change as soon as he came to power 15 years ago. According to this, it was made mandatory to call the Prime Minister sir. In the later years, instructions were issued to say the head for the women sitting in high position.

Now what will be called the Prime Minister?

The final decision on this has not been taken by the interim government of Bangladesh, but it is being said that now the Prime Minister will be called in Bangladesh with Mr. Prime Minister or some similar surname. In America, the President is addressed as Mr. President.

The post of Prime Minister in Bangladesh is of the acting chief. The PM has most of the rights there. In Bangladesh, the President is only the post of constitutional and name.

Yunus engaged in clipping the post of PM

Before the elections in Bangladesh, the government of Yunus is trying to cut off the Prime Minister. The power of the Prime Minister is being reduced under this campaign. The first decision in this is to limit the Prime Minister’s term.

Earlier there was no barrier of the Prime Minister’s tenure in Bangladesh, but now the government of Yunus is working on maximum 10 years. Similarly, there is a preparation to snatch the right to impose emergency from the PM.

The proposal to constitute the National Security Council in Bangladesh is being passed. This council will have the Prime Minister, President and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. This committee will have all the major rights.
