Chhattisgarh government’s big step, women self-help groups got ready to brick manufacturing work


The Chhattisgarh government fulfilled another guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative of implementing the decision to hand over the work of ready-to-brick construction to women self-help groups has been started today from Raigad district. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai handed over contract letters to 10 women self-help groups for construction and distribution to 10 women self-help groups in Raigad.

On this occasion, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary, Raigad MP Radheshyam Rathia, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, MLA Purandar Mishra, District Panchayat President Shikha Ravindra Gabel, Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan and District Panchayat member Sushma Khalkho were present.

Pilot project in 6 districts in the initial phase

Chief Minister Sai said that the state government has decided to hand over the work of manufacturing and distribution of supplementary nutrition (ready to eat) to women self-help groups for Anganwadi centers. This work will be started as a pilot project in 6 districts in the initial phase. Raigad has become the first district of this initiative, where contract letters have been distributed to 10 women self-help groups.

The Chief Minister said that the sisters of these groups will now provide nutritious food to the children of Anganwadi as well as increase their income from this work, so that they will be able to become financially strong. This scheme is a meaningful initiative towards women along with self-employment as well as social and economic empowerment. Also, this scheme will play an important role in improving the nutritional level of the state by providing nutritious food to children.

The Chief Minister said that during the last one and a half year tenure, most of the works of guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been landed on the ground. Works such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, purchase of paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, two years outstanding bonus distribution, assistance of Rs 1000 per month to women under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, increase of Rs 5500 per standard bag in tendupatta collection rate and re -introduction of phase paduka scheme are strong examples.

Also, through the Ramlala Darshan Yojana and pilgrimage scheme, the people of the state are also being given the benefit of traveling to religious places.

Start of Atal Digital Services Centers

The Chief Minister informed that Atal Digital Services Centers have been started, which aims to provide banking services to the people of rural areas in their village itself. So far, such service centers have been set up in 1,460 panchayats of the state, due to which thousands of mothers and sisters are availing simple, safe and accessible banking services. In the coming time, the remaining panchayats will also be linked to this facility.

On this occasion, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary said that the state government is doing continuous work to make women self -reliant. According to the goal of creating 3 crore millionaires across the country, the Chhattisgarh government is working in a planned manner. In this direction, ready to eat scheme is being started, in which 6 districts have been included in the first phase.

Women groups have been selected for distribution of ready -to -eat in Anganwadi centers under Raigad Urban, Raigad Rural, Pusaur, Kharsia, Gharghoda, Tamanar, Lailunga, Mukragoda, Tamanar, Lailunga, Mukragoda, Tamanar, Lailunga, Mukragoda, Tamanar, in Raigad district.
