New Delhi railway station
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal has demanded changing the names of New Delhi and Old Delhi railway stations. For this, he has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. He has said that the name of New Delhi railway station should be changed to ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee railway station’ and Old Delhi Railway Station should be named ‘Maharaja Agrasen Railway Station’.
Praveen Khandelwal said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not only the former Prime Minister of the country, but also a great leader and visionary personality. In his honor, the largest railway station in the country’s capital should be named.
At the same time, Maharaja Agrasen is remembered for his contribution to business society and social service. Therefore, adding Old Delhi station to his name will be a historical and respectable step. In this regard, he has appealed to the Railway Minister to take action soon.
