Giving great relief to the residents, the Municipal Corporation has extended the date for depositing the advanced tax. In Madhya Pradesh (MP), now by July 31, those doing Advance Payment will get a discount of 6 and a quarter in property and 6% in water tax.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava has confirmed to extend the date for depositing advance. Taxes can be paid on holidays also. The corporation’s cash counters will be open on Saturday, Sunday.
Why the date increased?

The Municipal Corporation gives assets and burning exemption to those depositing advance tax every year. This year, the last date for submission of advance tax was 30 June was 30 June, but due to the disturbances of the portal, people were not able to pay taxes. Mayor Bhargava said that in view of the problems of the people, we have decided to extend the date of depositing advance. The E-Nagar Palika portal of the Portal Corporation was closed till 8 May. Before this, no tax was deposited in the corporation due to the closure of the portal. Even after the portal is commissioned on May 8, there are many problems about the data.

According to Additional Commissioner NN Pandey, the corporation has so far received revenue of about 87 crore rupees. This includes Rs 68 crore found in the form of property. The remaining amount is burnt and garbage collection fee. The city has more than five lakh properties. So far, more than 60 thousand people have paid advance payment of their property tax.

According to Pushyamitra Bhargava (Mayor, Indore), the last date has been extended by one month, in view of the problems of the citizens, the last date for submission of advance has been extended by one month. Now citizens can take advantage of exemption by depositing advance tax by 31 July.
