Korona’s new variant found in XFG Bhopal, know how dangerous it is


The new variant of Kovid-19 (Covid 19) has been confirmed by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal. Please tell that the name of this variant is XFG. The biggest thing is that this variant is also infecting people who have been vaccinated with Corona. However, experts say that it has very mild symptoms of disease in people infected, which are not dangerous.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) The Regional Virology Laboratory (Wirology Lab) of Bhopal prepared a genome sequencing of 44 samples infected between the last week of May to the third week of June. This study has found that a new variant named XFG has now become the fastest spread virus. Out of a total of 44 samples, 28 samples i.e. 63.6 percent were only XFG variants. This new variant is made from the already spreading LF.7 variants.

It was reported that there are some mutations in XFG and LF7 variants, which can also infect the people who have been vaccinated with Kovid-19. So far only mild or symptomatic infections have been revealed from these types. For this reason, the World Health Organization has not put them under the category of monitoring. The NB.1 (Nimbus variant) listed as a type of monitoring recently by the World Health Organization was not found in any sample investigated by AIIMS Bhopal.

The effect of old variant LF-7 decreased

Investigation revealed that LF.7 variants, which were present in 50 percent of samples in the last week of May, gradually weakened during June and completely ended by the third week of June.

Timely identification of variants such as XFG and their sub-types can understand the behavior of the virus and take the necessary precautionary steps for public health in time.
