According to the information received, an encounter between police and Naxalites is going on in Chhoti Bethia area of Kanker district. The soldiers had gone out on anti -Naxal operation, when the Naxalites started firing. The soldiers also took the front and the news of two Naxalites was killed in retaliation. The bodies and weapons of two Naxalites have been recovered. The identity of the Naxalites killed in the encounter has not been identified. The death toll may increase further. SSP Indira Kalyan Elisela of Kanker district said that the encounter is still going on. Only after getting information from the soldiers, they will be able to tell the details.
Three Naxalites were killed three days ago
Let me tell you that three days ago, there was an encounter between the Greyhounds Force and Naxalites in the Maradumilli forests of Alluri Sitaram Raju district of Andhra Pradesh, bordering Chhattisgarh, in which the Central Committee member Gajrala Ravi alias Udaya, special zonal committee (AobsZC) member VRL Chaitanya alias Aruna and Anju were killed by the soldiers. Deadline to end Naxalism by March-2026

25 lakh prize commander Bhaskar killed
Security forces have got major success in Bijapur and Kanker. DRG, STF and Cobra Battalion have been reported to have killed the top Naxalite Bhaskar of Telangana State Committee on the ongoing operation in the National Park area of Bijapur district. He had a reward of 25 lakhs. An AK-47 rifle has also been recovered from the spot. This operation has been going on for the last two days, in which two Naxalites have been killed so far. The soldiers have surrounded the big Naxalite platoon.
At the same time, BSF and District Police Force in Kanker district arrested 5 lakh Naxalite Raju Nurutti in joint action. He was caught siege from the forests of Binagunda. The arrested Naxalite is said to be a resident of Chhotbethia police station area. Both actions are seen as a great success of security forces.
This is considered to be the second largest operation in this area after 9 February. For the last 24 hours, the Jawans of DRG, STF and Cobra Battalion have been holding the front. According to intelligence input, a squad of 25 to 30 hardcore Naxalites is surrounded in the forest.
