Special yoga camps will be held in every village-every city with the message of Yoga Sangam and Green Yoga

Preparations have started to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21 June 2025 in a grand and enthusiastic manner across the district.

Preparations have been started to celebrate a grand and enthusiastic manner across the district on 21 June 2025. In this regard, necessary guidelines have been issued to all the concerned office heads by Collector and District Social Welfare Department, Manendragarh-Chirmi-Bharatpur. Under the guidance of the Directorate of Social Welfare, Raipur, the theme of Yoga Day this year will be based on “Yoga Sangam” and “Green Yoga”. The programs will be organized at 6 am and will be organized at all the urban bodies and major public places of Gram Panchayat/Urban Bodies of the district. In the order issued by the District Office Social Welfare, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsildar, Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayats, Nagar Panchayat Officer Gan and other department heads have been urged to ensure wide public participation in their respective fields. At the same time, photo and video documentation will be mandatory at all the venues, which will have to be sent to the district office social welfare through email or special carrier at DPSW.Mcb@gmail.com. On this occasion, a special greeting message of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also be shared, in which he has described Yoga as the pride of the ancient cultural heritage of India. The Prime Minister has called for making it a part of the collective lifestyle by connecting the theme “Yoga: Earth, A Health” with global health, environmental balance and all -round human welfare. He appealed to the village heads to organize collective yoga practice programs in their areas, so that children, youth, women and senior citizens can all actively participate.
