Tightened screws on Saurabh Sharma, Lokayukta’s big action in compassionate recruitment scam of crores

Investigation in the case of fake compassionate appointment and black earnings of crores on the dismissed constable Saurabh Sharma of the Transport Department is increasing rapidly. The Lokayukta organization has handed over the entire service record of Saurabh Sharma to the Sirol police station of Gwalior. Along with this, preparations are being made to interrogate Sharma and his mother Uma Sharma.

Accused of hiding fake documents and information

Saurabh Sharma and her mother are accused of presenting fake affidavits for compassionate appointment and deliberately hid the job information of another member of the family. This FIR was lodged on the complaint of Gwalior Transport Department. Now the police is investigating whether the documents given at the time of appointment were authentic or not and whose signature was on the false affidavits.

Saurabh Sharma: The role of colleagues is also under doubt

Not only Saurabh Sharma, but many constables who have worked with him in the Transport Department have also come under investigation. Recently, statements of some personnel of the department have been recorded, who are suspected of collusion with Saurabh. By questioning everyone, an attempt is being made to find out who had a role in the appointment.

Pole of immense property opened in raids

The case came into the limelight in December 2024 when the Lokayukta raided Saurabh Sharma’s house in Bhopal. During this time cash, gold and silver were recovered from the house. The same night, the Income Tax Department also seized 11 crore cash and 52 kg of gold in the forest of Mendori. After this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also started investigation in the case.

Saurabh Sharma: Departmental irregularities also exposed

The appointment process of Saurabh Sharma has also revealed heavy administrative negligence. Many important documents were ignored during the tenure of the then Transport Commissioner Shailendra Srivastava. Especially, the brother’s job was hidden and the officials concerned did not take any action on it.

Now documents will be cross verification

According to Sirol police station in -charge Govind Bagauli, the documents sent by the Lokayukta are being closely investigated. Saurabh Sharma and her mother’s signature of the signatures, the legal validity of affidavits, and the administrative process of that time are being closely investigated.
