During his stay in Delhi, the Chief Minister also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence. Where the development of the state, Naxal operation and other major issues were discussed.
The Chief Minister said that now Bastar’s face is changing, which was once known for guns and landmine, today mobile towers are standing there, which have become not just the medium of communication but have become a symbol of development and faith.
Chief Minister Sai said that 64 new forward security camps have been set up by the government in the last year and a half. The presence of police in the villages around these security posts has created a sense of security, but now the network has also reached these areas. The government has so far started a total of 671 mobile towers, out of which 4G service is available in 365 towers. This is not only technical change, but it is an indication that now the communication revolution has started in tribal areas.
The Chief Minister said that now not only mobile towers are being installed in Bastar, but these towers are proof that the children and youth there are now connecting with the digital world. Earlier, where children had to go to the city to study or prepare for jobs, now they are able to do the same work online through mobile network in their village. Now the youth of Bastar is also making their own world with smartphones.
Chief Minister Sai said that basic facilities like electricity, water, health and education are now reaching the villages around security camps. 18 community services and 25 types of government schemes are being implemented simultaneously in 146 villages identified under the Need Nellanar scheme.
The Chief Minister said that hundreds of solution camps have been organized so far under Good Governance Tihar, where the MPs from MP to MLA reached the village and resolved the complaints of the public. In these camps, the villagers have been given the benefit of schemes like ration card, Aadhaar, pension, health test, school entry, Ayushman card, Prime Minister Housing, Ujjwala Gas on the same platform.
Chief Minister Sai gave detailed information about the schemes and innovations being made for water conservation in Chhattisgarh. He said that the state government is working in mission mode to deal with the water crisis, and effective efforts are being made at every level, from public participation to technical measures.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai told the Prime Minister that the days of rain in Chhattisgarh have reduced – earlier where it used to rain about 100 days, now it is only 65 days. Under technology, new ways to save water from village to village are being adopted. Where earlier the water was swept away, now an attempt is being made to stop and submit it. In this work, a mobile app named modern technology such as GIS Mapping and ‘Jaldoot’ is being used, which shows how much is needed.
The most important thing is that women are playing big participation in this campaign. Women’s groups are coming forward to clean the ponds, increase depth, and revive old water sources. This partnership is removing the water shortage in the villages and people are getting clean and adequate water in their area itself.
Chief Minister Sai also informed the Prime Minister about the Nalanda campus, which is the first 24 × 7 hybrid public library in the country. Made at a cost of 18 crores, this facility has an e-library, youth tower, health zone and solar energy-based system.
