CM Vishnudev Sai’s instruction – Drugs reach every needy, health facilities will be expanded


Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while reviewing the schemes of the Health Department in the Ministry, directed the officials that the health services of the state reached the last person. He clearly stated that every citizen should ensure quality treatment near the house and easy availability of medicines.

AYUSH medicine will get a boost

Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh (CG) has widespread possibilities of effective treatment through AYUSH medical system, which need to give more expansion. The government’s effort is to strengthen traditional and alternative medical practices, which can provide more options to the general public and diversity in the health system.

CG: Special attention to serious diseases

The CM directed the officials of the Health Department (CG) to work on diseases like anemia, maternal health program and leprosy (Leprosy) on priority. He said that early diagnosis and treatment of these diseases is necessary, so that the citizens of the state can get better standard of living.

Chhattisgarh in the top 5 in NQAS rankings in the country

State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal informed in the meeting that Chhattisgarh (CG) is ranked 5th across the country in the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) program. He also said that more hospitals and health centers will be expanded in the state in the coming days. The minister also informed the Chief Minister about health sector achievements and upcoming schemes.

CG: Great success in eradication of TB and malaria

Health Department Secretary Amit Kataria said that Chhattisgarh (CG) has done commendable work towards elimination of diseases like TB (Tuberculosis) and malaria. In TB cases, treatment success rate has reached 90% and 100% cases have been noted. In addition, 94% of the vaccination targets have been met by March 2025, which reflects the success of the state’s health system.

This review meeting of Health Department (CG) was attended by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Health Secretary Amit Kataria, Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat and Mukesh Bansal, Commissioner Medical Education and AYUSH Department Shikha Rajput Tiwari, NHM MD Dr. Priyanka Shukla, and the controller of Food and Drugs Department Deepak Aggarwal.
