The ICC has announced the Venue and dates of the Women’s World Cup 2025. India is hosting this tournament. This will be the 13th edition of the Women’s World Cup, which will be played in Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam and Colombo from 30 September to 2 November. In this way, the Women’s World Cup is going to return to India after 12 years. The Women’s T20 World Cup was played in India in 2016. A total of 8 teams will participate in the tournament, including hosts India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Australia will land as the current champion in this tournament, defeating England in the final of the Women’s World Cup 2022 in New Zealand in 2022. Australia is also the most successful team in the history of the tournament, which has become the champion seven times.
Pakistan will play its competition here
The tournament will be played in India at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore and ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. However, Pakistan’s team will not come to India to attend the World Cup. The Pakistan team will play their World Cup match at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. At the same time, India will play its first match in Bengaluru on 30 September. The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis, with a total of 28 league stage matches. This will be followed by 2 semi -finals and finals.
The finals will be played on 2 November
If Pakistan’s team reaches the semi -finals and finals, then the matches will be played in Colombo. This is the reason that the first semi -finals will be held on 29 October in Guwahati or Colombo, while the second semi -finals will be played in Bengaluru on 30 October the next day. After this, both the finalists will have at least two days to prepare for the decisive match of the title, with the final of the 2025 Women’s World Cup in Bengaluru or Colombo on Sunday 2 November.
T20 World Cup 2026 debut from 12 June
England have been confirmed as the host of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 as well as the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will begin on June 12 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, in which England will play the first match. At the same time, the final will be played on 5 July. A total of 33 matches will be played on 7 venue during these 24 days, including Birmingham (Edgbaston), London (The Oval and Lords) Old Trafford Cricket Ground (Manchester), Hedingley (Leads), The Hampshire Bowl (Southempet) and the Bristol County Ground. The Oval will host both semi -final matches, while the final will be held on 5 July 2026 at the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground. Both semi -finals will be played on 30 June and 2 July 2026 at The Oval, London.
