Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the office of Smt. Shalini Rajput, the newly appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that there is immense potential for handicraft development in Chhattisgarh. There is a demand for artifacts here. The government is committed to providing markets to handicrafts products of Chhattisgarh and providing a fair price for handicrafts to their skills. The Chief Minister distributed a grant of five thousand rupees to the handicrafts under the tool equipment scheme.
Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Shilp Vikas Board, Mrs. Shalini Rajput, congratulating and congratulated that the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board under his leadership will work for the betterment of the craftsmen. He said that handicrafts are doing a very good job in every area of Chhattisgarh. I got a chance to visit Shilpagram in Kondagaon during good governance Tihar. There I met the craftsmen and saw their art closely. Similarly, craftsmen also make artworks from metal in Ekatal in Raigad. Beautiful wood shapes are made from wooden warts in Bastar. The skill of handicrafts is amazing across the state. Today the beautiful hat that was presented to me in this program was made of Chhind and Kansa. In Jashpur, very beautiful artifacts are made in Kotamapani near our village in Kotampani.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that craftsmen need to be trained as much as possible. It is very important that handicrafts work is mostly in rural areas. Therefore, through handicrafts development, we can provide employment to the villagers on a large scale. I hope that the Handicrafts Development Board will work towards this and along with training the craftsmen, they will also get loans and subsidies with more and more and connect them with employment.
The Chief Minister said that Dokra Art in Kondagaon is demanded abroad. It is important that artisans get a fair price of the product along with the market. Handicrafts without middlemen have access to the market directly, so that they get maximum benefits. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is a matter of great pleasure that Pandandi Ram Manjhi of Garhbengal in Chhattisgarh has been awarded the Padma Shri. The art of Chhattisgarh is the pride of our country, it should be recognized all over the world.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the artists of Chhattisgarh have a miracle in their hands. Whether it is a matter of clay toys or vine metal, kasidakari, tattoo and terracotta, handicrafts of the state are making very beautiful products of their art. The handicrafts of Chhattisgarh should participate in national and international exhibitions. Our craftsmen have natural skills. There is also a need to add designers for large -scale handicraft production.

Laxmi Rajwade, MP Mrs. Kamlesh Jangde, MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Mr. Sunil Soni, Mr. Asharam Netam, Mr. Gajendra Yadav, Presidents of various Corporation-Division-Yoga, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Mr. JP Maurya and many dignitaries were present.
