Corona virus cases are increasing rapidly in the state, active case 3758, free RT-PCR check in AIIMS

Bhopal

Korona has once again gained momentum in the country. In the last 10 days, Kovid 19 cases have increased rapidly. According to the Covid-19 dashboard of the Union Ministry of Health, the cases of Corona have crossed 257 to 3700 in the last 10 days. This figure is very shocking. If Kovid moves forward at this speed, then in the coming days, the administration can see strictness again.

Cases reached 257 to 3700 in just 10 days
According to data available on the website of the Ministry of Health, 3758 active cases of Kovid were registered in the country. In the last 10 days, more than 1200% has been recorded in the cases of Kovid-19, which has become a matter of concern. Statistics show that on May 22, 2025, where there were only 257 active cases in the country, the figure reached 1010 by 26 May. Now 363 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 2 people have also been confirmed the death.

Now doctors are also asking their travel history when they see symptoms of corona in patients. Actually, the maximum number of 1400 Corona cases in the country have been reported from Kerala. A large number of people go to Kerala to visit Madhya Pradesh in summer vacation.

Bhopal CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari said that the variant of the Korona virus JN.1 is currently the variant of interest, that is, it is being monitored. This is not very dangerous. But it spreads rapidly. Light symptoms are seen in the patient and this season is cured in 3 to 5 days like the disease. In such a situation, the pace of wearing masks and following the covid rules can be slowed down.

Infection increased due to these variants of corona virus

Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has cited 4 variants behind the current growth in the infection of Corona virus. He said that the current bounce is due to the sub-variants of Omikron mainly due to LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB.1.8.1. Light symptoms have been seen in these so far. He further said that we are closely monitoring the situation. At this time, overall, we should monitor, be cautious but there is nothing to worry.

Free RTPCR check in AIIMS Bhopal

The RTPCR test is being done free of free for Korona investigation in AIIMS Bhopal. But in private hospitals of the city, 900 to 1250 rupees have to be paid for this investigation. At the same time, the same fee is charged in private lab. The report of the investigation is found in 1 to 2 days.

At the same time, according to Dr. Parag Sharma, senior respiratory specialist at Gandhi Medical College, steps will have to be taken from now on to prevent the virus. All the variants present in India right now are all variants of interest.

The more people are infected with the virus, the more its strength will increase and it will convert into new forms. Therefore, it is necessary to be vigilant and defend from now on.

Health Ministry expressed concern
According to information on the Covid dashboard of the Union Ministry of Health, the administration may be strict in the coming days given this fast growing infection. The Kovid protocol is expected to be re -implemented in public places, hospitals and sensitive areas.

Increase in Kovid cases across the country
In Delhi as well as many other parts of the country, there is a boom in the cases of Kovid. Especially more cases are coming up from Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. However, in most cases the symptoms are mild and have a low risk of serious illness or death. Statistics till Sunday show that there are 1400 Corona cases in Kerala, while 485 cases in Maharashtra and 436 cases in Delhi.

Spread of new forms of Omikron variants
The main reason for this increase in Kovid cases globally is the new forms of the Omikron variants of the Corona virus. Among these, branches of JN.1 variants are LF.7 and NB1.8. JN.1, also known as ‘Pirola’ strain, originates from BA.2.86 variants and can cross the existing immunity of the body. Although the symptoms of this new variant have been found as Omikron so far, it spreads more rapidly.

If there is an investigation like Kerala, cases can increase in MP

In Madhya Pradesh, if the investigation of Corona is started like Kerala, then the number of infected can increase manifold. Experts believe that many of the patients who are viral -like symptoms at this time can be corona positive.

RT-PCR is being investigated as soon as the symptoms appear in Kerala, due to which the total number of cases there has reached 1400. At the same time, the situation in Madhya Pradesh is different- there is no facility of RT-PCR check in government hospitals. This investigation is being done only in a private lab, which costs from 1200 to 1500 rupees.

AIIMS Bhopal said- no sample came from Indore

Amid the increasing cases of Corona in Indore, the District Health Department claimed that samples of positive patients have been sent to AIIMS Bhopal for Jeetra sequencing, to find out which variant of Corona is active in the state.

But when AIIMS Bhopal was contacted in this regard, the officials there clearly stated that no sample has been sent from Indore for investigation till now.

Corona virus will come every year, it is necessary to be cautious

Dr. Ajay Singh, director of AIIMS, said that new variants of Corona virus will come again every year in this season. It is not possible to avoid them completely, but there is a need to be cautious.

He said, “Whenever you go to crowded places, we must wear a mask. If you have a fever or cold-cold symptoms for two to three days or there is difficulty in breathing, contact the doctor immediately. Otherwise there is no need to be unnecessarily panic.”

Dr. Singh made it clear that this time is not to be afraid, but to take precautions so that the infection can be stopped.

Throat infection increased, problem in speaking

Yashveer JK, the nose, ear and throat specialist at Hamidia Hospital, explains that patients with throat infection are increasing. This is common when there is rain -like weather after summer.

The disease starts with sore throat and pain. If not treated on time, the throat problem increases and there is also difficulty in speaking.

Therefore, if there is any problem in the throat, then go to the doctor soon.

Patients hesitated to wear masks, doctor expressed concern

According to a respiratory specialist Dr. Sharma, 15 to 20 percent of patients coming to OPD are showing symptoms like Kovid. They are advised to wear masks, but only one or two of them come with masks on followup next time.

When the reason is asked, some say that people look at them with a different eye, which makes them ashamed. Many patients are unable to wear masks due to heat. Doctors are telling it a lot of concern.

JN.1 weakens the variant immunity, spreads rapidly

JN.1 is a new strain of Omikron’s Ba2.86, which was first seen in August 2023. In December 2023, WHO declared it ‘variant of interest’. There are about 30 mutations in this variant, which can weaken our immunity.

According to the US University of Johns Hopkins, JN.1 spreads faster than other variants, but the disease caused by it is not very serious. Now it has become the most common variant in many parts of the world.
