National Teacher Education “Council (NCTE) is currently seen in action mode. This time NCTE has taken major action on B.Ed colleges in Madhya Pradesh. NCTE has canceled the recognition of 11 B.Ed colleges in Madhya Pradesh. Three colleges in the colleges containing recognition are from the capital Bhopal.
In fact, the Western Regional Committee of NCTE has canceled the recognition session of a total of 380 colleges in four states including Madhya Pradesh for 2025- 26. The maximum number of 295 colleges are from Maharashtra, while 11 B.Ed colleges in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are also included. In fact, due to this action, documents were not submitted by the college operators on time. According to the rules, the Performance Appraisal Report (PAR) was not submitted every year.
Recognized in these colleges canceled
According to the list, three colleges including Shri Sainath College and Bhoj University (Open University) of Bhopal, Rishikul Group of B.Ed College in Gwalior and Farida Education Society, Awadhesh Pratap Singh University of Rewa and Neeranchalm Education College, Swami Narayan Das Education College of Satna and Sagar’s Pandit BD MEMORIL BED College, Draunacharya Ekademi and ‘Pandit BD Recognition has been canceled.

NCTE chairman confirmed
This has been confirmed in the working of the meeting issued by Dr. Shailesh Narayan Bhai Jala, Chairman of West Regional Committee. The colleges whose recognition has been canceled in Madhya Pradesh includes Madhya Pradesh Bhoj, (Open) University. The university used to give admission to students every year under its distance learning B.Ed program. Now this work will not be recognized from 2025-26.
Why B.Ed College recognizes NCTE?
If a B.Ed. College does not submit the Performance Appraisal Report (PAR) and other necessary documents NCTE on time, its recognition can be canceled.
Destance B.Ed program of Bhoj University also closed
The Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University in Bhopal was allowed to admit 1000 students in B.Ed course every year through distance learning. Now NCTE has also canceled the recognition of this program, so that this course will not be valid after 2025-26.
Registrar of Bhoj University, Dr. Sushil Manderia informed that information about the cancellation of B.Ed course will be taken from the director. Discussion with NCTE will be resolved.
