But have you thought that money is also given to the Naxalites for these weapons by the government so that these dangerous weapons used in violence can be seized in maximum amounts with the government. Recently, 18 Naxalites in Chhattisgarh have surrendered the path of violence.
The central government and the state government are working together to work on the elimination of Naxalism from Chhattisgarh by 31 March 2026. Many types of schemes are being run for this. Steps are being taken for development in Naxalite affected areas. The Naxalites who surrendered themselves admitted that they have made up their mind to leave weapons after being influenced by development works. These were the Naxalites who had a reward of up to 8 lakh rupees on their heads. Several facilities are being provided by the government on surrender to Naxalites. Apart from this, the weapons which are deposited on their behalf are also rewarded.
Explain the address of the explosive and get the reward
Every surrender Naxalite, whether he has weapons or not, will be given a cash incentive of 50 thousand rupees. If a surrender Naxalite, the IEDs or explosives hidden by the Naxalites recover them, they will be given an additional amount of 15,000 to 25,000. On giving information about big weapon dump or explosive material, a reward of up to one lakh rupees will be available. If the surrender Naxalites are willing to get married, then they will also be given a marriage grant of one lakh. If both husband and wife are surrendered Naxalites, they will be given this benefit considering them as a unit.
Government will also provide favorite employment
On the surrender of the Naxalite included in the prize list declared by the Government of Chhattisgarh, the entire prize money will be given according to the rules. Along with this policy of the state government, the benefit of rehabilitation schemes of the Government of India will also be surrendered to Naxalites. This policy has ensured that they get all possible help to be re -established in the society. The Naxalite who surrenders will not only get incentives, compensation, prize, but he should also get education, skill training for employment, self-employment and social honors as per the choice.
Weapon price fixed
According to the Naxal Surrender Policy 2015 of Chhattisgarh, if he surrenders the reward on the Naxalite’s head, he gets the amount of reward. This money is included in the expenses incurred to add the Naxalites to the mainstream again. If someone surrenders with weapons, then they also get money instead of weapons. The prices of every weapon are fixed here. Recently, it has also been amended in the Naxal Surrender Policy 2025 so that more and more Naxalites leave the path of violence and return to the mainstream. In Chhattisgarh’s Naxal Surrender Policy, prices ranging from pistol, grenade to sniper rifle, AK-47 rifle are fixed.

Cash reward to Naxalites
At the time of surrender to the Naxalites, an amount of 50 thousand rupees is given immediately. Apart from this, FD is also done for 3 years by putting a lump sum amount in their account. Apart from this, they are also given money to buy land. Along with this, starting employment is also available for training. Not only this, they also get the benefit of many schemes of India and the state government. For example, under the Ayushman Yojana, cashless treatment, Naxalites who surrender benefits like money and free ration for building houses under PM Awas Yojana are also available.
A large number of Naxalites are surrender
A few days ago, 18 Naxalites surrendered in Chhattisgarh. Out of these, 10 were rewarded with a total of 38 lakhs. The government’s Naxalite surrender, victim, rehabilitation and relief policy is proving to be a lot of success. Last year, 792 Naxalites surrendered with arms.
Land and house or money in return too
Considering safety and other reasons in cases of murder, serious injury or permanent disability, if it is necessary to rehabilitate in urban or rural areas, 1.5 hectares of agricultural land in rural areas or 4 decimals (1742 sqft) residential land in urban areas will be provided. If the plot is not provided, then the victim’s family will be provided Rs 4 lakh in rural areas and Rs 8 lakh in urban area. In this policy, the size of the plot and the compensation amount has been included only in return. Practically due to limited availability of land, compensation amount will be payable in most cases. On purchasing agricultural land within 3 years by such a victim’s family, full exemption will be given on a maximum of 2 acres of land from stamp duty and registration fee.

Naxalites will get a big reward

1 lakh for marriage
According to the policy, after the surrender, an incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand will be provided to the person per person. If an unmarried or living husband is not a wife, within 3 years of surrender, if the surrender is willing to get married, then he will be given a grant amount of Rs 1 lakh at the time of marriage. In the event of marriage, both husband, wife both will be given benefits by considering them as a unit.
