Metro has started in Indore from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started it from Bhopal on the super priority corridor of Indore Metro. Women are traveling on the first day in the metro. This metro service has just started on a 6 km route. There are 5 stations on this route. The start of the metro is expected to reduce traffic and pollution in the city. In the first week, people will be able to travel in metro for free. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started it from Vishwali Bhopal.
The terminal of Indore Metro is named Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar station. Apart from this, the names of all the stations are also named after the heroes. After leaving the terminal, the metro will go to Maharani Laxmibai Station, Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi Station, Rani Durgavati station and Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Station.
About 6 km of Indore Metro Rail is the super priority corridor of Yellow Line, including five stations- Gandhinagar station, super corridor 6 stations, super corridors 5 stations, super corridors 4 stations and super corridor 3 stations. This corridor will reduce traffic and pollution. In the first week, you will be able to travel for free in the metro.
Just six kilometers part started
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address that the metro has started in Indore from today. The Indore Metro has just started only 6 km. It is being called the ‘Super Pratities Corridor of Yellow Line’. This includes Gandhinagar Station, Super Corridor 6 Station, Super Corridor 5 Station, Super Corridor 4 Station and Super Corridor 3 stations.
Traffic jam will be liberated
The start of the metro will reduce traffic in the city. Pollution is also expected to decrease. People will be able to roam in the metro for free in the first week. The metro station was decorated a day earlier. While traveling in the metro, a beautiful view of the greenery of the city will be seen.
Metro Phase-2 expected to be completed by January 2026
The target is to complete the work of Phase-2 of Indore Metro by January 2026. PM Narendra Modi flagged off the metro virtually. Right now the metro will run only at 5.9 km. The entire project is 31 km long.
Underground is also metro
Some part of the metro is also under the ground. This part has been tendered, but work has not started yet. At the same time, Indore has become the first city in Madhya Pradesh where the metro train is service. It is still late at the beginning of Bhopal Metro.
