The Supreme Court dismissed the plea of ​​British citizen and scam accused Christian Mitchell James during the hearing of the AgustaWestland Chopper scam case. In fact, Christian Mitchell filed an appeal challenging the Delhi High Court order in the Supreme Court. Hearing this, the Supreme Court refused to give him relief in the matter.
Christian Mitchell filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the condition of bail by the Delhi High Court in the AgustaWestland Chopper scam case, which was rejected.
Explain that the Delhi High Court had ordered the release of Christian Mitchell on bail in the AgustaWestland Chopper scam case, along with the court had placed a condition that it would have to give information about its residence in India, where he is going to live after getting bail.
After this, Christian Mitchell filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Bail condition of the High Court and demanded amendment in the terms of these bail, which was rejected by the Supreme Court.
Christian Mitchell’s lawyer argued before the Supreme Court that the condition of bail laid by the High Court included a local address before the release. This condition cannot be fulfilled until he comes out. Mitchell’s passport has expired and is unable to give local address.
On this, the Supreme Court said that if he cannot give local address then it is better that he should stay in Tihar Jail, what can he do! We have given you bail, you don’t even want to fulfill the condition? If your family can give you instructions, it can also do it. The Supreme Court then refused to consider his petition seeking amendment in the terms of bail of Christian Mitchell.
