In Puri’s sea, former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly’s elder brother Snehashish Ganguly and his wife Arpita’s ‘speedboat’ overturned, but both narrowly survived. The police gave this information on Monday. The incident occurred near the ‘Lighthouse’ on Saturday evening when the couple were enjoying the ‘speedboat’ ride.
In a video message available near ‘PTI’, Arpita said, ‘We survived by the grace of God. I am still in shock. This should not happen and the water should be arranged properly in the sea. After returning to Kolkata, I will write a letter to the Superintendent of Police of Puri and the Chief Minister of Odisha.
Regarding the incident, he said that his boat overturned in the grip of a big wave and all the passengers, including his husband, fell into the sea.
He said, ‘Thankfully, our life was saved by’ Lifeguard ‘immediate action. Eyewitnesses of the incident, local people said that the ‘speedboat’ lost the balance and overturned in the sea after being hit by a big wave.
