67 Giving cashless treatment under Ayushman Bharat Scheme
Before the formation of the BJP government in Delhi, around 93 hospitals were in the panel of Ayushman Yojana. It was expected that this list would increase significantly as soon as the Ayushman scheme was implemented, but it has not been found so far.
At present, only more than 50 private and 15 government hospitals are associated with the panel of State Health Authority (SA). Out of more than 1000 small and big hospitals in the capital Delhi, only 67 are giving cashless treatment under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
Screw is stuck here
The central government scheme has 17,440 government and 14,476 private hospitals. At the same time, Ayushman card is running in more than 5000 hospitals in the neighboring state of UP. Similarly, free treatment is being received in Haryana 1677, 1115 in Bihar and 1906 in Rajasthan. But this number is not reaching 100 in Delhi, which is treating patients coming from all over the country.
Expensive hospital speaking, may have to suffer heavy losses
They are not satisfied with the package under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a large hospital in the capital Delhi. They feel that the prices that have been fixed by the government are very low. Especially large and expensive hospitals believe that they may suffer heavy losses by joining this scheme.
Delay in payment to many states
Cashless treatment can be given to patients under the scheme. But big hospitals believe that it is not possible to treat at the current price according to the kind of facilities they have and advance medical equipment.
Union of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) director Khetrapal clarified the issue in a conversation with TOI. He said that this package rate is not correct for the advance medical process. Along with this, complaints of delay in payment from many states are also coming from the government.
