The villagers of Jhaurandi village were overwhelmed by the ease and easily of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. The helicopter of the Chief Minister suddenly landed in the village Jhurandi in Khairagarh-Chuikhadan-Gandai district in the hot afternoon. The villagers were surprised to find the Chief Minister without any prior notice. The Chief Minister put a chaupal in the shade of the banyan tree of the village and interacted with the villagers in a very intimate style. On seeing this, the whole village was overwhelmed and the atmosphere became like a festival. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma was also present along with the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Sai, while starting a conversation with the villagers, said that I have gone to remote villages in districts of Bastar, many districts of Surguja and in remote villages of districts like Janjgir, Champa, Kabirdham, Bemetara district. He said that today I have reached this village Jhurandi through Manpur-Mohla-Ambagarh Chowki district. Our government is a government of village, poor and farmer. We want to benefit from the schemes of governance to every household. He instructed the officials to take prompt action on the demands and problems of the villagers and the benefits of the schemes reached every eligible beneficiary on time.

The Chief Minister announced the construction of high school and higher secondary school building in Jhurandi village on the demand of villagers. He announced Rs 20 lakh for construction of CC road in the village, two high level bridges construction- Rs 2 crore 54 lakh for construction of high-level bridge on Kritbadha access road from Gandai and Rs 2 crore 52 lakh for high-level bridge construction in the limo on Gandai Karranala access road and new panchayat building in Gram Panchayat Bhormpur on demand of villagers.

Chief Minister Sai set up a Janchaupal in the shade of the banyan tree in the market stop between the village and started dialogue with the villagers present there in Chhattisgarhi language, causing emotional connections and deepening with the villagers. He also heard the experiences related to their problems, suggestions and implementation of schemes from the villagers. The villagers openly appreciated Chief Minister Sai’s spontaneous, simple, simplicity and humble behavior with an open heart. The elders said that for the first time in the years, such an opportunity has come when the head of the state reached their village directly. Farmers and youths looked closely and felt the style associated with the Chief Minister’s soil.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while clarifying the objectives of good governance Tihar on this occasion, said that in this campaign, ministers, MPs, MLAs and local public representatives are all actively participating and evaluating the ground reality. He told that he himself has visited many villages from Bastar to Surguja, and is taking direct information about the progress of the schemes. The Chief Minister offered prayers at the Pawanputra Hanuman temple in the village market, and wished the people’s prosperity. Former MLA Komal Janghel, District Panchayat President Mrs. Priyanka Khaman Tamrakar and many public representatives and senior administrative officers were present on the occasion.

180 PM housing in Jhurandi village

The population of Gram Panchayat Jhurandi under Khairagarh development block is 1935. This village is the plurality of Lodhi and Verma society. Proper arrangements for health, education, electricity and drinking water are available in the village. Anganwadi centers are also operated. Primary school, secondary school and high school facility are available in the village, due to which children are getting quality education.

A total of 217 houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Gram Panchayat, out of which 180 have been completed and 37 are under construction. 616 women are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Water supply is being supplied under the water life mission. Villagers are getting employment under MNREGA. Women from 17 self -help groups in the village are associated with livelihood activities.
