Its purpose is to express respect for Virat, who retired from the longest format of the game on 12 May. The viral post said, “Can you help in spreading the stadium wearing a white jersey in the next RCB match? Do this to give a tribute to Virat Kohli. Kohli has made many of us love Test cricket. Even though I will never see them while playing in white jerseys but I just want to tell them how much I want to tell them.”
The post further stated, “This strong gesture will prove that their legacy is far ahead of the figures. It resides in the hearts of the fans. Please think about it and help us in making it a reality. It will mean a lot for many of us. I have also made a template. I also think that we can raise a jersey outside Chinnaswami. Ho, but plain white T-shirts can work. ” Even though a campaign is being run on social media, it will be a matter to be seen or not.
Kohli, 36, made a Test debut in 2011. He scored 123 Test matches for India, scoring 9230 runs at an average of 46.85. He scored 30 centuries during this period.
